Collingham has a post office, several shops and two public houses, the Old Star Inn and the Half Moon Inn, where Oliver Cromwell is said to have spent the night after the Battle of Marston Moor. Wetherby golf course extends all the way to the river at Collingham and from the village there are miles of countryside where you can walk, fish, cycle or canoe!
Just two miles away is the affluent and thriving market town of Wetherby offering everything for day to day living.
With excellent road links to the A1 (M), M1 and M62 most key cities are all within easy reach. Leeds train station offers comprehensive links throughout the country and Leeds/Bradford International Airport is just 13 miles away.
The cosmopolitan town of Leeds with great shopping, fascinating architecture and world renowned sports venues is only 11 miles to the south. Rapidly becoming one of the cultural centres of the North, Leeds has many herigage sites and a lively cafe bar and restaurant culture plus vibrant entertainment and festivals. The spa town of Harrogate is 12 miles to the north and York 16 miles east. Both cities are thriving centres for business and tourism and offers a variety of world class attractions, museums and galleries including the famous York Minster.
